The squad met up safely in Manchester and had a fantastic stay at the Marriott Hotel in Worsley Park. The hotel was "top notch" and the service fantastic.
The players laid out their aims and a code of conduct for the tournament in a very positive meeting. All agreed this is the strongest squad the Partially Sighted Team have ever fielded for a major competition and are full of confidence. The evening finished with a race night with chocolates being gambled as currency. There was a "stewards enquiry" about the eventual winning team of Daley, Costa, Thomas and Price who seemed to have inside information and went away with pockets bulging full of chocolates!
